Boeing Beats Southwest Pilots' Lawsuit Over 737 MAX Misrepresentation Claims

A Texas Business Court judge has ruled in favor of Boeing Co., dismissing claims from Southwest Airlines pilots that the aircraft manufacturer misled them into a collective bargaining agreement for the 737 MAX airliner.

The decision, issued on Monday by Judge Andrea Bouressa, stated that the pilots' labor union failed to provide sufficient evidence linking their damages, attributed to lost wages due to the grounding of the 737 MAX, directly to Boeing's behavior in contract negotiations.

According to the court order, given a second chance to correct their petition this summer, the pilots' union was unable to establish a clear link between Boeing's actions and their claimed losses.
