Boeing has received an order for four MH-139A Grey Wolf helicopters, marking the first award under full-rate production. This purchase supports the U.S. Air Force's fielding plans following its declaration of initial operational capability earlier this year.

The new order brings the total number of helicopters under contract to 42, with Boeing having already delivered 27 aircraft to date. According to Kathleen Jolivette, vice president and general manager of Vertical Lift Programs at Boeing Defense, Space & Security, 'This milestone validates key readiness levels for Grey Wolf and supports the service's fielding plans to secure vital national assets across the country's strategic missile fields.'

The MH-139A Grey Wolf was acquired by the Air Force to monitor intercontinental ballistic missiles and transport security forces and government officials. The helicopter has a maximum range of 410 nautical miles, a maximum cruising speed of 146 knots, and a service ceiling of 20,000 feet.
