Boeing Directors Cleared of Bad Faith Over Safety Concerns
A Delaware judge has dismissed a shareholder lawsuit against Boeing Co. directors, ruling that they didn't act in bad faith when overseeing management's efforts to address safety concerns.
The lawsuit claimed that company directors ignored safety before a door plug on a 737 Max 9 jet operated by Alaska Airlines blew out in 2024.
Judge Morgan Zurn concluded that Delaware law doesn't hold corporate fiduciaries liable simply because a general risk materialized. He cited a ruling from Thursday that backed this decision.
