Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines have expanded their participation in the 787 Landing Gear Exchange Program. The program allows airlines to quickly exchange landing gear for a certified, ready-to-install replacement from Boeing's global inventory.

The agreement was announced at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK. It guarantees the availability of landing gear shipsets for 10 787-9 Dreamliners in Ethiopian Airlines' fleet. The airline had previously enrolled 19 787-8s in the program.

Boeing's Landing Gear Exchange program helps airlines simplify the scheduling and management of the landing gear overhaul and replacement process. By reducing inventory costs and supply-chain risk, it allows airlines to manage their maintenance operations more efficiently.
