Boeing Flags Software Glitch in B737 MAX Auto-Pilot During Go-Arounds

Boeing has identified a software glitch in its B737 MAX aircraft that could potentially disengage auto-pilot during certain go-arounds, according to an advisory issued to pilots. This issue may occur when pilots change the planned altitude and path while performing a go-around.

The company informed all 737 operators about the software issue last month, sharing information with operators on how to safely handle such cases. Boeing's engineers are working on a software update to permanently address the issue.

Air India Express and Akasa have a total of 153 B737 MAX aircraft in their fleets. Akasa spokesperson confirmed that there is no impact to the safety of Akasa Air operations, stating that their aircraft continue to operate safely in accordance with established procedures.
