Boeing Labor Contract Deal Avoids Strike After SPEEA Members Ratify New Agreements
SPEEA members have ratified new four-year contracts with Boeing, avoiding a potential strike when the existing contract expires on October 6.
The Professional and Technical bargaining units, representing nearly 13,000 engineers and scientists, approved their contracts with 67.6% yes votes, while the Tech Unit, including over 4,000 analysts, designers, technicians, and specialists, voted with a 53.5% majority.
The new agreements include 10% wage increases effective October 2, an additional day of paid leave to be used before the end of the year, and a separate increase for low-paid workers to bring them closer to labor-market averages.
