Boeing Orders Soar but Stock Price Slips Amid Earnings Expectations
Boeing secured new orders from several airlines and cargo operators at the Farnborough International Airshow, but its stock price slipped by around 2.4% in afternoon trading.
The company announced that MSC Air Cargo had purchased five 777-8 Freighters, while Uganda Airlines ordered four 737-8s and four 787-9s to modernize its fleet.
Luxair, the national airline of Luxembourg, also converted two options for the 737-10 into firm orders and secured options for two additional aircraft.
AerCap placed a new order for 15 787-9 Dreamliners, increasing its portfolio to around 140 aircraft.
