Boeing Pays $3.1M Fine Over Safety Violations
Boeing has paid $3.1 million to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) after the regulator cited multiple safety-related breaches, including issues connected to a 2024 Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9 cabin incident.
The FAA had announced a proposed penalty of $3.1 million in September 2025, and Boeing reportedly paid the fine in January.
The agency also accused Boeing of undermining the independence of safety personnel and submitting two aircraft for approval that were not fit to fly.
