Boeing Scores Massive Order from Korean Air Amid Ongoing Challenges
Boeing Co (NYSE: BA) has secured its largest-ever aircraft purchase agreement from Korean Air, ordering 103 planes valued at $36.2 billion before discounts.
The deal includes a mix of Boeing 777-9 jets, 787-10 Dreamliners, 737-10 narrow-body planes, and eight 777-8 Freighters, as well as spare engines and maintenance agreements worth $44.8 billion.
This order highlights Boeing's continued demand for next-generation aircraft despite ongoing operational challenges and regulatory hurdles that may delay delivery schedules.
Boeing's current Price-to-Sales ratio of approximately 1.77x is near its historical median, suggesting modest market expectations for future growth, but the company remains unprofitable and cash-flow-negative.
