Boeing has secured its first order for full-rate production of the MH-139A Grey Wolf helicopters, marking a significant milestone in the program's development. The U.S. Air Force declared initial operating capability for the aircraft earlier this year.

The award covers the production of four MH-139As, which will be equipped with mission-specific systems and armament by Boeing. This contract brings the total number of MH-139As under contract to 42, with 27 already delivered to date.

According to Kathleen Jolivette, vice president and general manager of Boeing's Vertical Lift Programs, this milestone validates key readiness levels for Grey Wolf and supports the service's fielding plans. The aircraft is designed to secure vital national assets across the country's strategic missile fields.
