Boeing Software Bug Found Not to Pose Safety Concern
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has found that a software bug in Boeing's 737 MAX 10 aircraft is not a safety concern.
The glitch, which affects the plane's automated navigation feature, can cause it to fail when planes shift their approach to landing.
A panel of FAA safety experts reviewed the issue and determined that pilots retain full control of the aircraft and receive clear indications in case the bug occurs.
The FAA will continue to monitor the situation, but has given no indication that the certification process for the 737 MAX 10 would be unfrozen.
