Boeing Stock Drops Amid Mixed Sentiment Over Production Delays

The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) saw its stock price drop by 2.4% on Thursday, closing at $197.09 after trading as low as $197.00.

This decline comes amidst a mix of positive and negative sentiment surrounding the company's recent developments.

Korean Air finalized an order for 103 Boeing aircraft valued at approximately $36.2 billion, while Lufthansa agreed to add 20 737 MAX 10 jets to its fleet, supporting Boeing's commercial backlog.

However, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) waived emissions rules allowing Boeing to sell 35 additional 777F freighters after 2028, and the company secured reported interest in up to four 777-8F freighters and a 757-200PCF lease, reinforcing demand for its cargo aircraft.

Boeing's CEO Kelly Ortberg stated that reaching a stable production rate of 47 aircraft per month is taking longer than expected, with wing-production bottlenecks at the Renton factory adding to execution risk.
