Boeing Stocks Struggle Amid China Setback, But Analysts See Opportunity
Boeing's stock has been under pressure due to a setback in China, but the company is diversifying its growth story. Despite a collapse in Chinese orders, Boeing secured major agreements with Turkish Airlines and Biman Bangladesh Airlines for up to 150 737 MAX jets and additional Dreamliner aircraft. The FAA also granted an exemption allowing production of 35 more 777 freighters beyond 2028.
The company is reshaping its portfolio through deals that hand off certain advanced assets, including the planned acquisition of Boeing's Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Insitu units by Archer Aviation. This move will transfer autonomous, unmanned, and airspace-intelligence capabilities into Archer's AI-driven platform once remaining approvals are secured.
The labor situation at Boeing is also stabilizing as engineering union SPEEA leadership recommends members approve new contracts that improve wages and working conditions, reducing near-term labor risk.
