Boeing Supports Next Generation of Aviation Leaders Through Scholarship Program
The Boeing Company has been supporting Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University through its scholarship program for eight years, aiming to broaden the aviation workforce pipeline. This year's class of 10 Boeing Scholars will receive $7,500 a year for two years to help finance their education. The students are pursuing degrees in various aviation and aerospace programs.
This is part of the company's effort to invest in the next generation of innovators and leaders. According to Linwood Ham, director of Boeing Global Engagement, Eastern Region, 'our Boeing Scholars program at Embry-Riddle does more than offset their education costs; it creates meaningful connections between students and industry professionals.'
The selected scholars come from across the nation, with high-performing high school students selected based on exceptional grade-point averages. Since 2015, Boeing has hired 767 Embry-Riddle graduates, and there are currently more than 3,000 Embry-Riddle alumni employed at Boeing.
