Boeing Taps GOL Veteran Celso Ferrer for Latin American Leadership Role

Celso Ferrer has left his position as CEO of GOL Linhas Aéreas to join Boeing, where he will lead the company's operations in Latin America and the Caribbean. He will officially assume this new role on September 4, 2026.

Ferrer brings over two decades of experience in the airline sector, having previously served as executive director at GOL for four years. During his tenure, he held various positions, including director of operations, vice president of planning, and active fleet-rated pilot for the Boeing 737.

In a statement, Brendan Nelson AO, president of Boeing Global, highlighted Ferrer's experience and leadership capacity as key factors in facing the challenges and opportunities of the regional market. Ferrer expressed his enthusiasm for joining Boeing at a time when aviation is expanding in Latin America.
