Boeing Warns of Fallout from Possible Engineers' Strike
Boeing's CEO Kelly Ortberg has warned of potential fallout from an engineers' strike. The company's supply chain for its 737 aircraft is currently in 'good shape,' but wing production hold-ups have caused some delays. However, if members of the SPEEA union were to go on strike, it could slow down 737 production and even stop certification work for the 777-9.
Ortberg emphasized that a strike would be detrimental to Boeing's operations, particularly in regards to its 737 program. The company relies heavily on its engineers' expertise, and a labor dispute could have far-reaching consequences.
