Boeing's 737 MAX 10 Completes Certification Flight After Delayed Testing

Boeing's 737 MAX 10 recently completed its final certification flight on July 26, marking the culmination of over 2,000 test flight hours and 1,060 ground test hours. This milestone is a testament to the dedication and commitment of Boeing's team.

The delays in testing have been attributed to various factors, including engine anti-icing design flaws and the need for enhanced cockpit alerting systems. The FAA has pushed back certification for the 777X into early 2027 to accommodate this work.

Meanwhile, its main rival, the Airbus A321XLR, is already generating substantial revenue for airlines flying it. Iberia received an A321XLR in October 2024, and it remains to be seen how the 737 MAX 10 will perform in commercial operations.
