Boeing's 737 MAX Software Glitch Sparks Safety Concerns

A software glitch has been identified in Boeing's 737 MAX aircraft that could affect automated flight guidance during missed landings. The issue, which could cause the system to disengage if the subsequent approach path differs from the original plan, was discovered by Boeing's engineers.

The company is working on a permanent software update and has issued an advisory for operators to reset the system as a precautionary measure. In India, there are around 96 Boeing 737 MAX planes operated by Air India Express and Akasa Air, with both airlines confirming that they are coordinating closely with Boeing.

Akasa Air stated that its operations remain safe in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements, while Air India Express has not yet responded. Globally, Boeing has delivered over 2,400 B737 MAX planes to various airlines.
