Boeing's Final 777-300ER Deliveries Loom as Passenger Orders Dry Up

The Boeing 777-300ER is nearing the end of its production run. With only five orders remaining, Boeing will soon cease producing this variant of the passenger plane. However, these aircraft may not be delivered at all, as there are doubts about Pakistan International Airlines' (PIA) order for five 777-300ERs.

According to Boeing's data, it has delivered just 15 passenger 777-300ERs since 2020. The last delivery was made in 2024 to Altavair LP, an aviation leasing company. Meanwhile, the planemaker has delivered 105 Boeing 777F freighters over the same period.

PIA ordered four Boeing 777-300ERs in 2002 and took delivery of the first two in December 2006 and January 2007. However, only one aircraft remains in active service, while three others are currently stored or undergoing maintenance. PIA's average fleet age is around 18.9 years.
