Bradley University Explores AI's Impact at TEDx Event

Bradley University is set to host a TEDx event focused on artificial intelligence. The event, which will take place from 5-7 p.m. on September 30th, aims to explore how AI is changing leadership, collaboration, and everyday life. According to Joshua Lewer, an economics professor and interim dean of Bradley's Foster College of Business and Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology, the TEDx format encourages attendees to disconnect from distractions and be open to new perspectives.

The event will feature six speakers from Bradley University and organizations across central Illinois and beyond. These include PsychSensei founder and CEO Ryan Terao; OSF Senior Vice President of Innovation and Transformation Becky Buchen; Bradley Director of Choral Activities and Music Education Cory Boulton; Kern Family Foundation KEEN Program Director Ranen McLanahan; Bradley electrical engineering student Injy Wasfy; and Caterpillar Director of Artificial Intelligence Product Management Charlie Wood.

TEDx events are known for their unique format, which allows attendees to fully engage with the speakers without distractions. Lewer echoed this sentiment, asking attendees to 'be ready to listen and have your mind and heart open to new ideas.'
