Buffett's Berkshire Boosts Alphabet Stake by 83% to Become Third-Largest Holding

Warren Buffett's investment firm, Berkshire Hathaway, significantly increased its stake in Alphabet, the parent company of Google and YouTube.

The increase was disclosed in a regulatory filing that showed Berkshire Hathaway owned nearly 106 million Alphabet shares worth about $37.8 billion as of June 30, up from 57.8 million shares three months earlier.

This represents an 83% boost to its investment in Alphabet and makes it the third-largest stock holding for Berkshire Hathaway.
