Warren Buffett's bet on Coca-Cola in 1988 has proven to be a winning one, with the stock rising by 9,234% since then. This beats PepsiCo, which rose by 6,242%. The calculation assumes that a $10,000 investment was made at the time and reinvested dividends were included.

Buffett's patience paid off, as he held onto his Coca-Cola shares despite the stock experiencing a 55% drawdown from July 1998 to March 2003. In contrast, PepsiCo's worst drawdown was 40% from January 2008 to March 2009.

PepsiCo has been struggling in recent years, trading 23% below its peak and offering a dividend yield of 4.22%. Coca-Cola, on the other hand, is just 4% off its all-time high and offers a lower dividend yield of 2.36%.
