CAT Posts Record Q2 Sales Amid Broad Market Growth

Caterpillar reported record-breaking quarterly sales and revenues of $20.5 billion, up 24% year over year.

This marks its first quarter above $20 billion and exceeded analysts' estimates of $19.34 billion.

The company's adjusted profit per share reached $8.17, while operating profit increased 50% to $4.30 billion.

Caterpillar attributed the growth to higher sales volume, contributing $3.1 billion, and favorable pricing adding $595 million.
