Caterpillar Expands Regional Reach with John Fabick Tractor Acquisition
Caterpillar Inc., a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, has announced its plans to acquire John Fabick Tractor Company, a long-established dealership operating across portions of Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The deal is set to further strengthen Caterpillar's presence in the region.
The acquisition involves a dealership with over 100 years of experience in its service territory, boasting 37 locations across the region. According to Joe Creed, Caterpillar Chairman and CEO, 'Caterpillar and Cat dealers share a common mission of solving our customers' toughest challenges.' He added that they look forward to continuing to work with the Fabick team.
The agreement is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, with Caterpillar expecting the transaction to close within 30 days. Jeré Fabick, Chairman, CEO, and Dealer Principal of Fabick, expressed pride in his company's team and customer relationships built over the past century. Todd Stanley, COO at Fabick, stated that the agreement represents the next chapter with Caterpillar.
Caterpillar reported sales and revenues of $67.6 billion for 2025, underscoring its significant market presence.
