Caterpillar Invests $1 Billion in North Carolina Manufacturing
Caterpillar plans to invest $1 billion in its Cat Compact business by expanding manufacturing capacity in North Carolina.
The company will establish a new facility in Sanford, North Carolina, designed to increase production of compact track loaders and telehandlers.
This move supports Caterpillar's Cat Compact strategy, which focuses on delivering a streamlined experience for small contractors and growing businesses.
Caterpillar Construction Industries Group President Rod Shurman stated that the investment will help meet customer demand for compact equipment, which is used in construction, landscaping, agriculture, and material handling applications.
