Caterpillar Invests in Arkansas Workforce Training with $3 Million Allocation

Caterpillar Inc., a leading construction and mining equipment manufacturer, is investing $3 million in workforce training initiatives in Arkansas as part of its nationwide Building the Future Workforce Initiative.

The investment is aimed at preparing the state's workforce for modern manufacturing and technician jobs. This marks the fifth allocation under Caterpillar's $100 million initiative to equip workers with skills needed to meet global market demands during a rapid digital transformation.

Caterpillar's North Little Rock site, which uses advanced technologies to boost efficiency, productivity, and cost management, has been producing motor graders since 2010 and expanded production to include medium wheel loaders and paving equipment in the following years. The $3 million will support collaboration between Arkansas training institutions, employers, students, and community groups to expand opportunities for affordable workforce training.
