Caterpillar Taps Seasoned Tax Pro as Senior Director of Compliance

Matthew Dobberfuhl has been appointed Senior Director of Tax and Compliance at Caterpillar Financial Corporate Finance Services. With over 25 years of experience, he brings a unique combination of tax compliance and finance leadership skills to his new role.

Dobberfuhl's background includes various positions within Caterpillar, both domestically and internationally, including a stint as tax services manager in the UK. Prior to joining Caterpillar, he held key roles at UBS Group and KPMG, where he gained valuable experience in tax leadership.

Matthew earned his Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and Master of Accountancy with a focus on Tax from Brigham Young University. He is also a certified Public Accountant (CPA). Kristen Covey, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Caterpillar, praised Dobberfuhl's 'thoughtful leadership, technical expertise, and collaborative approach', stating that he is well-positioned for success in his new role.

The appointment takes effect on October 1st. As Senior Director of Tax and Compliance, Dobberfuhl will oversee tax compliance across over 40 entities within Caterpillar Financial Corporate Finance Services.
