Chevron Announces Leadership Reshuffle for 2027
Chevron has unveiled a major leadership overhaul set to take effect on January 1, 2027. The most notable change is Eimear Bonner, the current Chief Financial Officer, moving to lead the Oil, Products & Gas division. In her new role, Bonner will oversee production, asset management, and operational efficiency. Jeff Gustavson, who currently heads the New Energies segment, will replace Bonner as CFO, handling global financial planning and investor relations.
The New Energies division will also see a shift, with Brent Gros, currently President of Offshore, taking charge. Gros will manage Chevron's low-carbon initiatives, including hydrogen, carbon capture, and AI integration. Meanwhile, Mark Nelson will continue as Vice Chairman but focus solely on business development and strategy.
Chevron CEO Mike Wirth emphasized that the new leadership team combines operational expertise with strategic foresight. The changes aim to position Chevron for long-term growth amid evolving energy market dynamics.
