Chevron Announces Major Leadership Shifts for 2027
Chevron Corporation has announced significant leadership changes set to take effect on January 1, 2027. Mark Nelson, currently the vice chairman and executive vice president of Oil, Products & Gas, will retain his role as vice chairman but shift his focus to strategy and business development. His new responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to strengthen the company’s portfolio and support long-term growth.
Eimear Bonner, the current CFO, will take over as president of Oil, Products & Gas. In this new position, Bonner will oversee safe and reliable operations across the entire value chain, ensuring disciplined capital allocation and optimizing performance.
Jeff Gustavson, currently the president of New Energies, will step into the role of CFO. He will manage global activities related to audit, controller functions, investor relations, tax, treasury, and business planning.
Brent Gros, who currently leads the Offshore division, will become president of New Energies. His new role will involve leading Chevron’s lower carbon initiatives, including hydrogen, power, carbon capture, offsets, and biofuels, while also overseeing the company’s AI strategy.
