Chevron Eyes Venezuela Expansion Amid White House Partnership
Oil giant Chevron is set to expand its operations in Venezuela, according to a U.S. official who briefed reporters on Tuesday.
The announcement comes after the White House confirmed on Monday that it is partnering with North American Blue Energy Partners as part of President Donald Trump's push to tap into Venezuela's oil industry.
Chevron, the second-largest U.S. oil company, will formally unveil its new investment in Venezuela on Wednesday when officials from the company and Energy Secretary Chris Wright visit the country.
