Chevron Gas Station Sells Water-Contaminated Gas, Damages Customer's Car

A San Antonio man claimed that his car was damaged after filling up at a Chevron gas station in Texas. He documented the incident on TikTok, showing how the gasoline he purchased had water contamination. The man used an ethanol potency kit to test the sample and observed that the ethanol levels did not change, indicating that the gas was water-contaminated from the start.

The man also used a gasoline water-contamination-finding paste, which turned red when exposed to water. He showed the contaminated gas to the Chevron clerk, who seemed surprised by the separation of water and gasoline in the bottle.

This is not an isolated incident; another customer had experienced similar issues with water-contaminated gas at a different Chevron station in Georgia. According to experts, water contamination can cause serious engine problems, including stalling, rough ride, and corrosion of fuel system components.
