Google Drive is ending its PC photo backup feature on August 10. This means that users will no longer be able to automatically back up their photos from their computers using Google Drive.

The company is pushing users to migrate to Google Photos, which now takes over the backup function. To make this transition, users must manually transfer their photos to Google Photos.

This process requires disabling Drive sync and enabling Google Photos backup via the web portal, as there is no dedicated PC app for Google Photos.
