Chevron Roars Back with Crushing Earnings Beat
Chevron's second-quarter earnings skyrocketed by 446% compared to last year and 385% from the same period in 2022, reaching a net profit of $12.1 billion.
The oil giant's adjusted earnings of $6.05 per share far exceeded analysts' consensus estimate of $5.55.
Chevron's cash flow was also robust, generating $22.6 billion from operations during the quarter, with free cash flow reaching a hardy $15.4 billion.
This strong showing has bolstered Chevron's position to sustain and grow its dividend, which it has done for 39 consecutive years.
