Chevron's impressive second-quarter earnings have broken a six-year record, with the company raking in $12.1 billion in profit and revenue surging 57.4% year-over-year to $67.2 billion.

The oil giant's operating cash flow reached $22.6 billion, while production increased by 20% to 4.07 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Chevron's CEO Mike Wirth attributed the company's success to a tightening market and strong operational execution, but warned that the threat to oil supplies from the Middle East has expanded beyond the Strait of Hormuz.

The Hess acquisition in July 2025 has also been a pivotal driver for Chevron, adding significant production capacity and reserves to its portfolio.
