Disney's Animal Kingdom Unveils Tropical Americas' Steel Entrance Gate

The Tropical Americas land at Disney's Animal Kingdom is taking shape as crews expand rockwork and roofwork throughout the area.

Guests can see the developing structures of Pueblo Esperanza rising from the former DinoLand U.S.A. site, including a large steel entryway gate with two diagonal braces forming an angular opening through its center.

The carousel's roof is also advancing, with more wooden rafters stretching across the structure to form several sloped roof sections around the masonry walls below.

Scaffolding surrounds two tall pillars at another entrance to Tropical Americas, where work appears to be underway on their themed exteriors. The rockwork being installed deeper inside the construction area could help frame pathways or separate different levels of the land once landscaping is installed.
