Chowmainsoft Expands Control4 Integration with Google TV and Cast Drivers

Chowmainsoft has expanded its collaboration with Control4 by releasing new drivers for Google TV and Google Cast devices. These integrations enable seamless communication between compatible Google products and Control4 systems, allowing users to control lighting, shades, and climate systems using their voice or Google Home app.

The Google Cast driver supports a wide range of Google Home and Nest speakers/displays, Chromecast products, and other Cast devices. It exposes playback information, artwork, volume, and transport controls to Control4, enabling integrators to integrate these devices into the automation experience.

The Google TV driver provides bi-directional IP control for compatible televisions, streamers, and set-top boxes. This means that Control4 can receive playback and power feedback regardless of whether content was started through Control4, a Google TV remote, or the Google TV app.
