Chris Rock's Bittersweet Take on LA: 'Wonky Priorities'
Comedian Chris Rock has recently acquired a new home in Los Angeles, but his relationship with the city is 'complicated.'
'It's weird,' he said. 'L.A. has got very wonky priorities.' He pointed out the disparity between the luxury homes and the homeless population.
Rock noted that there are cameras and sound equipment at movie studios like Paramount, but questioned whether anyone could really steal those items. 'There's more value at the average Home Depot than at Paramount,' he said.
The comedian has been spending more time in L.A. since buying his new home, but still maintains a place in New Jersey, where he lives on a normal block without a doorman. He values keeping his monthly bills low and not having to deal with the pressures of fame.
