Christodoulides Presses Chevron on Aphrodite Gas Field Progress

Cyprus' President Nikos Christodoulides urged Chevron to accelerate progress on the Aphrodite gas field, calling it a strategic priority for the island. The meeting with Javier La Rosa, a senior Chevron executive, aimed to move from plans and promises to actual production.

According to an official government statement, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to developing the field under the approved development and production plan. They also reviewed the technical and commercial work underway and discussed the steps needed before Chevron makes its final investment decision.
