Cisco Bolsters AI Infrastructure with Nvidia-Backed Partnership

Cisco Systems is expanding its AI infrastructure capabilities by partnering with Nvidia and Amazon Web Services. The company has released a new AI POD, a private infrastructure platform that combines Cisco's hardware with Nvidia's computing power and Kubernetes. This move is expected to further accelerate the adoption of AI technology in enterprise environments.

Splunk's Tokenomics tool is also playing a key role in this development. By tracking AI spending across agents and employee coding tools, it provides real-time cost monitoring and estimates future consumption before billing cycles close. This feature is designed to address one of the major obstacles to enterprise adoption: the difficulty of accurately predicting and managing AI-related expenses.

Cisco has reported significant growth in its AI infrastructure orders, with $9.3 billion worth of hyperscaler AI-infrastructure orders received during fiscal 2026. This represents approximately 14.7% of the company's annual revenue of $63.3 billion. The company's shares have risen by roughly 0.1%, currently trading at $110.24.
