Cisco CFO Sells Shares Amidst AI Security Solutions Rollout
Cisco Systems' Executive Vice President and CFO Mark Patterson sold 4,892 shares of the company on March 20. The sale was executed after a Rule 10b5-1 plan, which lets company insiders pre-schedule stock trades in advance. Patterson had adopted this plan on December 19, 2025.
The two separate transactions involved selling 2,391 shares at an average price of $77.6777 and 2,501 shares at a weighted average price of $78.2576, according to the filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Patterson now owns about 202,541 shares of Cisco Systems, including dividend equivalents accrued on unvested restricted stock units.
This sale comes as Cisco announced new security solutions at RSA Conference 2026 to support the rise of AI agents. The company's focus is on controlling what agents can do, protecting them from attacks, and enabling rapid threat detection.
