Cisco Deploys Personal AI Agent for 90,000 Employees

Cisco, a multinational technology company, has rolled out a personal AI agent called MyAgent to its 90,000 employees worldwide. This move marks one of the earliest large-scale deployments of personal AI agents in the industry.

MyAgent is designed to assist employees with various tasks by automating cross-system operations and providing personalized support. The AI agent can retain employee preferences, past interactions, and work context, making it a more effective tool for daily tasks.

Cisco's MyAgent is built on top of the company's internal AI platform, Circuit, which was developed in 2023. Circuit allows employees to access various models, knowledge bases, search tools, agents, and connectors, making it easier to complete tasks efficiently.

The deployment of MyAgent has been a success, with Cisco reporting that over 73% of users have seen an increase in productivity, saving an average of 5 hours per week. The company also mentioned that the reliability of AI tools depends on the quality of training data, highlighting the importance of ensuring clean and high-quality data for accurate responses.
