Cisco Systems, the networking and security company, has taken its partnership with Splunk AI to a new level by launching an Nvidia-backed AI POD for self-managed and air-gapped environments.

The AI POD is built on Cisco's infrastructure, paired with Nvidia computing and Kubernetes. This move not only strengthens Cisco's position in the market but also widens the commercial opportunity beyond the data center.

Cisco has signed a multiyear agreement with Amazon Web Services to jointly develop security products, further expanding its reach.

The company received $9.3 billion of hyperscaler AI-infrastructure orders during fiscal 2026, which accounts for roughly 14.7% of its annual revenue of $63.3 billion. This significant increase in AI infrastructure orders demonstrates the growing importance of this segment to Cisco's business.
