Cisco Invests $100 Million to Build Resilient Ecosystems
Cisco is investing in resilient ecosystems to build a stronger future for all. According to Cisco's FY25 Purpose Report, every dollar invested in climate adaptation and nature-based resilience yields an average of $10.50 in environmental and social benefits over the next decade.
The company helps communities adapt to climate realities, cultivate skills for changing economies, and protect and restore ecosystems and biodiversity. This is achieved through cash grants to nonprofits and impact investments in startups and venture funds that support climate solutions across the innovation life cycle.
Cisco also partners with organizations such as the Connected Conservation Foundation (CCF) to help stop poaching and safeguard wildlife in real time. The company has equipped 46 protected areas across 13 countries with IoT and connectivity tools, while also launching a free global course through Cisco Networking Academy that helps kickstart local careers in conservation technology.
Cisco's efforts extend beyond its own operations, as the company works to promote water stewardship across its supply chain. In fiscal 2025, the company reduced water withdrawals for its direct operations by 11% and advanced its supply chain participation in the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) Collective Action Accelerator.
