Cisco Stock Rises as AI Infrastructure Revenue Growth Accelerates
Cisco Systems, the networking and enterprise-security leader CSCO, saw its stock rise approximately 0.6% to $110.77 on Tuesday morning following the release of version 1.0 of Cisco AI POD for Splunk by Splunk.
The platform allows enterprises to run Splunk's AI capabilities on Red Hat OpenShift within their own infrastructure, giving customers another option to deploy AI without moving sensitive workloads to the public cloud. This is particularly important for regulated industries where control over data and infrastructure can be crucial alongside raw computing power.
Cisco's fiscal fourth-quarter results showed a significant jump in AI infrastructure revenue, reaching $4 billion for the full year with expectations of $7.5 billion in fiscal 2027 - an 87.5% year-over-year increase.
