Cisco Tackles Massive Data Center Expansion with Supermicro and Nvidia
Cisco is expanding its artificial intelligence infrastructure in partnership with Supermicro and Nvidia. The new architecture combines high-density servers, Nvidia GPUs, Cisco networking, and liquid cooling to tackle one of the largest data center expansions in history.
The goal is to simplify the deployment of large AI clusters by integrating computing, networking, security, monitoring, and cooling into a single architecture. This will allow companies to deploy structures capable of performing everything from AI inference to training models with trillions of parameters.
Cisco's President and Chief Product Officer, Jeetu Patel, notes that the industry is at the beginning of one of the largest data center expansions in history. The new infrastructure will be validated before it reaches customers, reducing technical risks during installation.
