Cisco Teams Up with Conservation Group to Train Local Communities in Wildlife Protection
Connected Conservation Foundation (CCF) and Cisco have been working together for over 10 years to protect endangered wildlife in Africa through innovative technologies.
The partnership has expanded beyond networking, sensors, cameras, and drones to address the human side of conservation, including education, opportunity, and skills.
Cisco Networking Academy is playing a crucial role in this effort by providing free online training programs that equip local communities with the technical skills needed to deploy and maintain technologies that help protect wildlife.
The Protected Area Technician Training Program has been launched in several countries, including South Africa, Kenya, and Uganda, and has already shown promising results.
