Cisco's AI Order Target Soars to $9 Billion Amid Rapid Growth
Cisco Systems has emerged as one of this year's big artificial intelligence (AI) trades. The networking giant's shares closed at $121.74 on Tuesday, a 5% increase from the previous day and about 60% higher in 2026.
The key figure driving Cisco's AI growth is its target of $9 billion in AI infrastructure orders from hyperscalers, which it raised from $5 billion in May. This target represents a significant increase from last year's total of $2 billion, with the company expecting to book over $4 billion in revenue from these orders in 2026.
Cisco's order book is growing rapidly, with the company taking $1.9 billion in AI infrastructure orders in its fiscal third quarter alone. This brought the year-to-date total to $5.3 billion, exceeding the company's full-year expectation of $5 billion with a quarter still to go.
