Coca-Cola HBC Invests in Water Stewardship Projects Across High-Risk Locations
Coca-Cola HBC is prioritizing water stewardship as part of its sustainability strategy, investing in projects that help communities manage water more efficiently.
By the end of 2025, the company had launched water stewardship projects in all 19 high-priority water-risk locations, fulfilling a key Mission 2025 commitment.
In Aeghion, Greece, Coca-Cola HBC partnered with local authorities and experts to upgrade the water network, reducing losses by 100 million litres annually, equivalent to the yearly consumption of around 1,700 residents.
In Schimatari, Greece, a smart innovation system introduced through the Zero Drop programme recovers 100% of water lost during filter backwashing, saving enough water to meet the annual needs of approximately 6,500 people.
