Coca-Cola Mural Restoration Revitalizes Downtown Frankfort

Frankfort's downtown area is now home to a restored vintage mural of the iconic Coca-Cola logo, thanks to the efforts of local resident Brett Pitzer and sign painting company Perkins Signs. The original mural was painted on the side of a building that once housed a Coca-Cola bottling plant, which operated in Frankfort for approximately 70 years.

The restoration process involved pressure washing the wall and scraping away remnants of the deteriorated paint before repainting the intricate lettering. Sign painter Clint Perkins described taking on the project as 'an easy decision,' citing his team's love for sign painting and their desire to showcase their talents.

Community leaders hope that the restored mural will serve as both a celebration of Frankfort's past and an economic boost that draws visitors downtown. Pitzer, who spearheaded the effort, believes that the mural is 'a great piece of Americana pop art' that can bring people together and encourage them to explore the local area.
