Coca-Cola Partners with Sangam Pratishthan for Responsible PET Waste Collection

The Coca-Cola India Foundation and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages have partnered with Sangam Pratishthan to promote responsible PET waste collection during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai and Thane. The initiative, which runs from September 16 to 25, aims to collect used PET bottles at four locations: Ganesh Gully, Thane Cha Raja, Nare Park/Parel Cha Raja, and Rangari.

According to Devyani R L Rana, Vice President- Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability, Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, 'Mumbai's Ganeshotsav is a powerful expression of community, bringing millions of people together in celebration.' The initiative aims to build systems that enable people, communities, and partners to participate in responsible waste practices.

The collected PET bottles will be handed over to recycling partners, keeping them in the recycling stream. This effort supports cleaner festival spaces and makes waste management a more meaningful part of India's largest cultural moments.
